Research Topics
Our brain supports a large number of different functions. Researchers within the UC Davis Neuroscience Consortium study a wide variety of different functions that are supported by the nervous system, typically spanning different levels of analysis (see Levels) to obtain a comprehensive understanding of how a particular function is provided. Our consortium also focuses on improving our understanding of the development of the brain and mind throughout the lifespan, with an emphasis on determining how interactions with the world alter mind and brain health. A unique and powerful feature of our Consortium is the wide range of approaches, levels of analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration we employ to understand each of these major nervous system topics.
